I hear you Steve, I've tried to gently and tactfully encourage one client to re-brand but they don't want to hear of it it all. Their logo is so totally inappropriate for their market place now but they are holding onto it with a death grip.

Bezerk: Papyrus - Years and years ago I used to see this font used by a few companies or professionals (therapists, alternative health, life coaches, information websites in the history sort of arena.......these sorts of trades/businesses) - but I haven't seen it for ages and ages now.

I don't think it really 'ever' was right for business use personally, but I think there were a few firms who thought it was at the time.

Thanks Jeff, appreciated :)

Great article Amanda!

I will be showing this to my clients when they think approach us about rebranding but then can not make up their mind if they need a rebrand or a completely new design.

Thanks,
Jeff

Ha ha, it IS as though someone was playing a joke when they created that font.

It is still in use though - I've seen it on places like school websites, schools still seem to feel this is the perfect 'fun yet professional' font. YEAK. There are so many better choices for fun and professional.

See my blog about fonts you used to like but now hate:

mmm 'Comic Sans' that is a devil of a font and should be removed from everyones font list! Yet I see it so often, usually when people attempt to design their own marketing material. I'm sure it was designed for a joke. Gareth
