PR Success For Beauty Brand

Brand Design Press Coverage

Well, well, look at Naturessence ….fame and fortune sitting in a tree K I S S I N G…..well maybe not quite yet, but on their way :)

Only a year has passed since I created their brand design, products labels and such, and now they are sitting in an internationally distributed magazine, side by side with non other than brands like Body Shop and Origins.

Sublime magazine took a fancy to Naturessence for their piece on Vintage Glamour;

“Time honoured effective ingredients - jojoba, rose, olive and aloe - in pure, natural products that look good on the dressing table”

An excellent description of the Naturessence brand and a real credit to the owner that she’s taken her vision for the Naturessence skincare range (and created by myself in it’s visual medium) and driven it forward in such a short space of time.

Look out for Naturessence on the high street soon I’m sure ;)

So what is it that gets some brands in the glossy mags and some not? Well first of all one major factor IS good quality brand marketing backed up by good quality brand design.

Do you think the journalists at Sublime magazine would be interested in featuring Naturessence if they didn’t look at good as the rest of the ‘big brands’?

Good product aside, retail is about image just as much as is it about the performance of the product itself, and Naturessence could have the most wonderful products in the land (which they do by the way), but they wouldn’t get into any internationally distributed glossy mags for love nor money without the right image to match.

Do you agree?

    This is certainly true for beauty brands. Packaging can make or break whether or not a magazine will feature the product. Nice work on your packaging, it’s beautiful!

    Beauty brands, yes, packaging is vital, but to be honest I think packaging is vital for nearly everything one purchases.

    I know that I’m hugely influenced by packaging when I buy things and sometimes have to shake myself out of a trance over the packaging, look beyond it, and realise that when I’ve binned the packaging the product just isn’t that exciting and I don’t even want it that much.

    The product type that I most get in a packaging tizzy over is stationery - I just love cute stationery. I can spend all day in Paperchase.

    I urge people to try that one day whilst shopping - when drooling over a product one day, imagine the product itself without the beautiful packaging, it’s a scary moment of truth when you realise it’s the packaging you desire more than the actual product!

    Thanks for your kind words on the Naturessence product labels :)

    Amanda
