I’m just about to design a flyer for a new fashion boutique in London (98 Clapham High Street) that is about to launch, and that I’ve branded from end to end (see above and below) and I’m feeling really really frustrated because two days ago I found an amazing designers portfolio and it completely and utterly inspired me.

I literally looked at his work and thought ‘I’m totally rubbish’, it was like a wake up call from heaven that I’m creatively stagnating and need more growth.

I knew as I flicked through his inspirational work, it was going to change the way I do things and improve me. I was going to study it further and try and work some of this designers genius into my own work to bring a fresher new dimension to my designs.

His style very much merged photography with illustration, which is something I’ve wanted to for a while now…he merged them in a wonderful way that didn’t match, but it did match…the best description being ‘eclectic’, in a Gwen Stefani Cool kinda way.

Can I find the link now? Of course not …..GARRGGHHHHH!!

Gwen Stefani is a creative genius by the way in my opinion, I just found this amazing link on her website - http://www.harajukulovers.com/ This site deserves a blog of its own

So I guess I’m going to have to figure out this Gwen Stefani kinda eclectic cool by my lonesome if I can’t find what triggered my thoughts on the direction for the flyer style.

UPDATE: 30mins later…..I found it, on my laptop favourites list!
