Poster Design

In February I told you about a poster I designed for free for Cancer Research Relay for Life launch event happening in my local town. Well last week I was given some great feedback from the organisers….

“I would very much like to thank you for all your hard work in completing the poster for our launch event which took place on Friday 29 February for Cancer Research UK’s Relay For Life Sutton Coldfield. The event was a resounding success and we were exceptionally pleased by the comments we received regarding the poster campaign. The poster was distributed throughout the businesses and homes of Sutton Coldfield.

We had 5 team captains register for the Relay For Life event and we raised £500 on the night. All funds raised from this event will be used to fund further research into cancer at our local Institute of Cancer Studies at Birmingham University. We hope that we will be able to organise other fundraising events in the future, and we will of course be in touch regarding our plans for the Relay programme.

We simply could not have done this without your support - thank you very much.”

Isn’t that nice feedback :)

Explaining Web Design

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I don’t often post links to other people’s blogs as it feels a bit lazy to me, I do like to try my best to create new content for this blog, but I thought this particular blog was so useful I just have to.

So many times I find myself explaining to potential customers the different components that make up a web design project, from the actual design, to the build and to completion and onwards and I found today a blog by Simon Jones of Zako Media Web Design that sums it all up perfectly and even offers some solid advice to boot…
